Victoria prides itself on being more British than the British so it is only fitting that the city is full of options for proper Afternoon Teas. From the grand and expensive Empress Hotel to the frilly and frugal Blethering Place; from the traditional British tea at the Gatsby Mansion to the West Coast interpretation at the Hotel Grand Pacific there is something for every taste and budget.

It's been a while since I have gone out for a proper afternoon tea; my goal over the next few weeks is to test some of the places I haven't yet tried and revisit some that I have. The only thing I will not be doing is spending $60 on tea at the Empress (sorry, but I have my limits). In the end, I will have an arsenal of reviews to share.
